DALE SANDERS – Handle With Care (2018) *Exclusive*
Despite his name, DALE SANDERS is Italian-born, class of 1981 musician & songwriter who is presenting his debut solo album “Handle With Care”, a Melodic Rock affair produced by the skilled in this matter Mario Percudani (Hardline, Hungryheart).
“Handle With Care” is a dream come true for a small city boy. Dale’s love with music started when he was only 9, listening to every classic rock LP at hand, starting playing guitar and taking lessons.
The first bands then arrived bringing the chance to start writing original songs, developing his songwriter skills, love for deep lyrical content and building a huge live stage attitude. 18 years have then passed by playing in several bands, writing countless songs, gigging around Europe and growing either as a guitar player, a singer and songwriter.
Now in 2018, with the precious help of producer extraordinaire Mario Percudani, he has the chance to fulfill his longtime dream and finally become a solo artist, presenting to the world his debut album “Handle With Care”, a mature and sincere rock retrospective over what happened in his not-so-quite life during the last years plus his shared vision on today’s world.
Percudani not only helped to shape the album’s sound, but also play guitar. In fact, the entire Hungryheart band – bass player & drummer – play all over the album, plus Josh Zighetti (Charming Grace, Mitch Malloy) and Giulio Garghentini contributing backing vocals, among other musicians.
At this point you’re suspecting what “Handle With Care” is all about: timeless melodic rock with a bluesy touch here and there, a couple of ballads with acoustics into the mix and some 80s FM Radio melodies.
Influences are varied, blended together with great personal touch and delivering a good bunch of guitar driven tunes and sweet ballads all dressed with intimate lyrics and sweet melodies.
Musically, and especially in terms of sound, take as reference, of course, HungryHeart, but also Dion Bayman, Wheels Of Fire, Bryan Adams, Rick Springfield, etc.
Songs like “Losing Ground”, “Take me away” and “All the things you never knew” tell timeless stories about relationships all wrapped by melodious guitars and Dale’s smooth voice; instead, tracks like “Every Man I used to Be” and “Something in your Eyes” reveal the irony and the fun side of Dale’s writing.
Dale Sander’s solo debut “Handle With Care” is a very enjoyable ‘singer-songwriter’ album musically based in the melodic rock sound & style we all love.
Good songs, fine musicianship and smooth production for this – as it used to be – 10-track LP with an old-school vibe yet updated sound.
