As requested, here’s in exclusive WARRANT‘s underrated album “Dog Eat Dog” in remastered form, from the Universal Music Japan series ‘HR/HM 1000‘ (Hard Rock / Heavy Metal at the price of 1000 Yen = about 9 USD) a more than welcomed campaign reissuing long time out of print albums from the label’s catalog.
This is the only remastered version of “Dog Eat Dog”, so this is a must have release of this overlooked gem of an album.

Released in 1992, third full length studio album “Dog Eat Dog” consisted of 12 tracks all written by lead singer Jani Lane. The album was darker, diverse, and more elaborated than their first two studio records but it never strayed too far off the band’s core sound. This was still Warrant, and not some 80s band trying to mimic the sounds of the grunge scene.
It showcased Lane’s growth as songwriter by literally putting his heart on his sleeve throughout this overlooked gem of an album.

Yes, I love Warrant’s first 2 commercial, fun albums. But “Dog Eat Dog” is the best record of their career.
In my melodic hard rock book, A Must Have.
