SIRENIA – Riddles, Ruins & Revelations (2021)
We never have been big fans of Norwegians SIRENIA Symphonic metal, however the band’s tenth album “Riddles, Ruins & Revelations” is a remarkable stylistic shift for the group. And for our tastes, a welcomed one.
While still plenty of character and atmosphere, on this new CD 2021 SIRENIA moved away from their traditional symphonic sound with goth splashes in favor to a much more accessible, catchy pop metal style with some electronic elements, opting for a more commercial image as well.
Consequently, “Riddles, Ruins & Revelations” is a nice surprise.
