St. WARREN – Rock Of Eden [FnA remastered reissue]

St. WARREN - Rock Of Eden [FnA remastered reissue] full

As requested, here’s St. WARREN debut album originally released in 1990 on cassette only, remastered & reissued by FnA Records under the title “Rock Of Eden“.
Hailing from Florida, the band was formed by bros Brett (vocals, keys) and Brad (guitars) St. Warren and during the late ’80s they were one of the most promising Melodic Hard Rock / AOR acts from the area.
With a sound & style akin the first HAREM SCAREM, LILLIAN AXE and some SKID ROW, these guys delivered well-written songs and side-by-side brotherly harmonies.

The brothers roots take them all the way back to Tampa Florida where they had an early hard rock / hair band called Eden Rock which would eventually evolve into St. Warren. In the late 80’s/ early 90’s, St. Warren was a staple on the Florida hard rock circuit competing for the top band spot and huge buzz year after year. Their shows draw between 500-1,000 fans per show. Not bad for a local band heaped in the middle of countless other hair bands vying for the same attention.

The band consisted of St. Warren brothers, Jeff McDonald on bass, and a few revolving drummers. Brad, two years the elder, delivered the band’s rocking side with his distinct lead guitar style and background vocals while Brett performed each song with his glammy rock infused vocals and rhythm guitar.
St. Warren played extensively and was one of those bands that should’ve been signed and would’ve been signed had the bottom of the hard rock/hair-band craze not fallen out with the influx of the grunge scene.

For years a collector’s piece, this is a welcomed reissue and despite the album’s self-managed production the sound quality is fine.
