MAGNUM – Vigilante [1986 Polydor UK POLD 5198] 0dayrox own vinyl-rip *HQ*
On a comment in the recent post of MAGNUM new 2024 album a reader spoke about the band’s stupendous 1986’s record “Vigilante“. Highly regarded as a classic by AOR aficionados, on “Vigilante” MAGNUM embraced the mid-Eighties polished, commercial sound from the era still retaining their trademark songwriting style and refined arrangements.
Our fellow reader asked for a pressing / reissue of MAGNUM’s “Vigilante” with good sound quality.
On all the CD pressings the sound quality is fine, but the gain level never was revised and oddly, still there isn’t a good “Vigilante” reissue. “Vigilante” is an album that screams for a proper remaster for sure.
So we the 0dayrox team decided to make our own vinyl-rip from the original UK LP release, respecting the vinyl harmonics and avoiding any audio post-processing: you have here MAGNUM’s “Vigilante” as it comes from the turntable.
And you know what? It sounds great!

Vigilante is a great album but nowhere close to their ’80s masterpiece: On A Storyteller’s Night! Thank you for the rip. Checking it asap!!!
