MARIAH – Somewhere Between Heaven And Earth [Retrospect Records remaster] *HQ*
As requested, here’s “Somewhere Between Heaven And Earth“, the second album from American band MARIAH originally only released on cassette in 1991, released on CD for the first time by Retrospect Records.
A Melodic Rock outfit originally called PRETTY BOY, MARIAH featured keyboardist / guitarist Jimmy DiLella who had previously recorded and toured with WAYSTED, BRITNY FOX and later with DORO PESCH. He subsequently founded the band TYKETTO and co-wrote their international career defining smash “Forever Young.” MARIAH also featured ex-LYNN ALLEN guitarist Tim Compton.
Their first self-titled album “Mariah” features a track co-written with JON BON JOVI and RICHIE SAMBORA. TRIXTER’s Steve Brown signed them to his management company. All this show-biz attracted various record labels, but the deal never materialized.
Subsequently, MARIAH decided to release their second album ‘Somewhere Between Heaven And Earth’ by themselves, however in limited copies.
