HERE

Throughout a splendid career, GARY HUGHES established himself as one of UK’s premiere melodic and hard rock singer and songwriter. Hughes achieved fame since the mid-Nineties as frontman of successful outfit TEN, but early he debuted as solo artist in 1989 releasing a couple of very good albums.
While Recording TEN’s third LP, Hughes found the time to continue his work as solo artist, and recorded this third album titled “Precious Ones“, appeared 1998. This is one of the very first releases by the then new record label Frontiers Music (their 4th).

For “Precious Ones” Hugues got help from his skilled TEN bandmates Vinny Burns & Greg Morgan, plus other contributors including guitar virtuoso Ralph Santolla. With more experience both as songwriter and producer, Hugues’ work on “Precious Ones” feels matured, not only songwise, but also the overall production.
The songs on this album are polished and smooth than never before, with amaizing atmospheres and melodic tunes ranging from AOR to Melodic Rock. Take as example the lead single ‘In Your Eyes’, a marvelous midtempo song with a lot of Whitesnake Sykes-era to it.

‘The Colours of my Life’, ‘Divided By Fall”, the title track, and the emotional power ballad ‘The Night The Love Died’ are among the highlights in an album that never drops in quality.
Top class Brit AOR / Melodic Rock folks.
