Los Angeles-based guitarist, vocalist and producer MARCUS NAND is releasing today his new solo album “The Traveler”. Marcus was the guitarist for Freak Of Nature (Mike Tramp’s band post-White Lion), Ziroq (with famed David Bowie bassist Carmine Rojas) and worked for Rod Stewart, Ricky Phillips (Styx), Jeff Scott Soto and many more as touring guitarist.
Recently, Marcus has been gaining recognition for recording & touring with Mike Tramp’s very well received “Songs Of White Lion Vol. I” where he and Tramp recreated a selection of iconic White Lion songs. Soon, they will release “Songs Of White Lion Vol. II”, produced by Marcus.
Marcus’s most recent solo work is this finely crafted album called “The Traveler,” a guitar and vocal-centric blend of classic rock, melodic hard rock, and progressive elements. The record features exceptionally layered guitars, great pop/rock structures and well executed melodies. It also highlights Nand’s soulful vocals, which demonstrate the incredible amount of passion and love this musician pours into his music.
Of course “The Traveler” features guest spots from Mike Tramp, but also Carmine Rojas, Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), Mike Garson (David Bowie Band) and many more.

Born in the UK and raised in Spain, Marcus Nand’s musical journey has been deeply influenced by his diverse background in flamenco guitar, blues, and rock. His unique blend of styles has earned him acclaim in projects such as the metal band Freak Of Nature featuring White Lion singer Mike Tramp, and the world music-influenced rock band Ziroq, alongside famed David Bowie bassist Carmine Rojas.

Speaking about the album as a whole, “The Traveler” is definitely a very musical guitar album – but not a guitar virtuoso thing, it’s centered around songs. There are lots of textures and depth to the guitars yet carefully placed to create the proper atmosphere for the songs and support the vocals.
There’s propulsive rockers like “Long Way Down”, mixed with melodic midtempo tunes such as “Make A Little Time” which gives Nand plenty of space to showcase his tasteful guitar playing.

Very well composed, performed and produced by himself, Marcus Nand’s “The Traveler” is a very enjoyable slice of timeless rock n’ roll including melodic rock, blues, classic rock, all in song format.
