DOMINOE – The Key [NL Distibution / YesterRock Remastered +7]
Few days ago we featured here the reissue of DOMINOE first album. Many of you loved it, then you really need to listen to the Germans second effort “The Key“, an awesome piece of Classic AOR / Melodic Rock to die for. This remastered reissue – handled by YesterRock Records yet not credited due to legal reasons – sounds terrific and adds 7 worthwhile bonus tracks.
Dominoe had a great success with their debut album “Keep In Touch” from 1988, especially the single “Here I Am”, title tune for the advertising campaign of French car manufacturer Renault, which maintained a grip on the European singles charts for a mammoth 25-week time.
Co-produced by magician Harold Faltermeyer (Top Gun soundtrack) and Robert Papst, “The Key” sound is bombastic, and the songs, anthem after anthem.
Originally released 1990,, the demand for the album increased over the years. Numerous fans around the world were looking for an original CD copy which was just to get overpriced.
During a conversation between YESTERROCK and Papst, they quickly reached an agreement and decided to re-release the album remastered to today’s sonic standards and adding a bunch of bonuses.
The sound quality is awesome, pristine, and fortunately not saturated at all.
FAN-DAMN-TASTIC album from start to finish.

I still can’t believe that they weren’t bigger! When you listen to just Angel Don’t Cry (Rock Mix)
and Harold’s Anthem (Instrumental), you can tell that Harold Faltermeyer intended those two songs to go on his next HIT SOUNDTRACK!!! Harold’s Anthem sounds like the TOP GUN Theme Song (with Steve Stevens)
KILLER BAND!!!
