Many major bands and promising newcomers are working on their new albums to be released next year, so let’s take a look to the advanced singles of the most interesting acts from the bunch.

Supergroup LAST IN LINE – the band featuring DEF LEPPARD guitarist Vivian Campbell alongside fellow founding DIO members Vinny Appice and Jimmy Bain, plus singer Andrew Freeman, who has previously fronted HURRICANE and LYNCH MOB – will release its debut album, “Heavy Crown”, on February 19, 2016 via Frontiers Music Srl. DIO’s most brilliant band returns with a killer record, and another track has surfaced (there’s other in Vol.1).
British hard rockers INGLORIOUS also presented a second song from their self-titled, 11-track album to be released on Friday 19th February 2016 by Frontiers Music.

Talented RICK SPRINGFIELD returns with a new record, ‘Rocket Science’ (February 19, 2016, Frontiers Records) promising to be a rocking one. “Light This Party Up” is the up-tempo, fun leading track / single.

Vocalist Mark Fox is back together with Swiss hard rockers SHAKRA, and already recorded the band’s new CD “High Noon” (January 29th, 2016). “Hello” is the punchy first single.
Favorites of this blog ETERNAL OF SWEDEN and BAND OF BROTHERS (SE) have ready new full length albums, as well as Norwegian rockers NITERAIN new album ‘Vendetta’ will be out February 2016. All the advanced singles are here.

One of my favorite melodic hard rock bands appeared lately is Finland’s LOUDGUNS, which will be into the studio next January recording their awaited 3rd CD. The album won’t feature the vocals of singer Lassi Vääränen as all the schedules became impossible to fit in, so it was Lassi’s decision as a gentleman to leave the band as he didn’t want to be slowing things down. So the just released single “Who Needs a Heaven” is the last song with Lassi on vocals and “it won’t be featured on the third album, so it’s a super special release” said guitarist Sami Pilve. I love this mid-tempo tune.

There’s other promising bands in Swedes NEWEVA with their poppy brand of melodic rock, and DEBBIE RAY (a male 4-piece also from Sweden), a hard rocking outfit who have been releasing some singles (the last is the just released / featured here “Beautiful Monday”) and are negotiating a recording deal.
And last but not least, cult AOR crooner TORBEN SCHMIDT (Skagarack singer) has just released a sweet, gentle acoustically filled song which, however, includes a killer electric solo by shredder master Mattias IA Eklundh, plus Skagarack bandmates Lars Daugaard (drums) and Tommy Rasmussen (keys).
