When released two years ago, we featured in exclusive the Japanese remastered series from 38 SPECIAL best albums, a fresh sonic treatment using the original US analog master tapes and pressed on high quality SHM-CD. It’s all done in wonderful cardboard sleeve mini LP replica, which also faithfully replicates the OBI design of the Japanese first pressing LP.
However there was one missing; “Flashback“, some kind of a ‘best of’, but featuring new material as well.
Originally appeared in 1987, “Flashback” contains several of the band’s greatest hits, such as “Hold On Loosely” and “Caught Up in You”, as well as two hit songs from soundtracks previously unavailable on a 38 Special album; “Back to Paradise” and “Teacher, Teacher”.
It also features one brand-new track unique to this compilation, “Same Old Feeling”.

By the mid-Eighties, 38 SPECIAL fully embraced the 1985-86 AOR sound typical from the era to polish to the extreme their melodic bluesy songs. For that matter, what you needed to do? Easy; call the best in the business.
