CLAUDE WEISBERG – Newest Things [Japan Edition +1] (2017) *0dayrox Exclusive*

As requested, here’s ”Newest Things [Japan Edition +1]”, the not easy to find CLAUDE WEISBERG album in its Japanese edition including a wonderful bonus track. This Italian songwriter / singer surprised us with a fantastic EP in 2012 with collaboration from the likes of Jean Michel Byron (ex Toto), Michael Thompson, Robbie Buchanan, etc, and since then he started to work on this, his first full length CD.
What we have here is a charming mix of sounds around Westcoast AOR and sophisticated ’80s-style Rock&pop co-written by Herman Furin (Work Of Art, Lionville) who also play, arrange and did the Mix here.
And there’s more. In addition to the cream of Italian session musicians, the album features the likes of Michael Landau, Robbie Buchanan, Jimmy Haslip, Michael Thompson as well as musicians participating in / or going through TOTO, Flamedown, AOR, Work Of Art, Lionville, Kilimanjaro, Sonic Station, Dirty Loops, Marco Taggiasco and many others.

CLAUDE WEISBERG – Here I Am (2012)

CLAUDE WEISBERG born in Genoa, Italy in 1966 and since a young age performed as session musician for many local artists until 1995 when filled the lead vocal slot in Wings Of Destiny. After that, Claude sung in the progressive rock group Glamis, but left in ’99 to start his solo career with a project called ‘Different World’, a recording showing the love for his favorite music and artists as Toto, Marillion and David Foster.
After a 12-year hiatus playing for other acts and composing own music, Weisberg entered in the studio to record songs for this new EP “Here I Am“.
Recorded and mixed at Sherwood Forest by Andrea Vassalini, the EP contains four songs in perfect style between TOTO, Work Of Art,, Richard Page and many other AOR acts.
The list of the stellar musicians arranging and performing here is truly impressive; Herman Furin (Work Of Art), Charlie Giardina (Flamedown), Henrik Linder (Dirty Loops), AOR gurus Robbie Buchanan & Taylor Mesple, Jean Michel Byron (ex- Toto) and the mighty Michael Thompson on guitars among many others…
