KENNY LOGGINS – Back To Avalon [Japan miniLP remastered] Out Of Print **HQ Exclusive**

Requested by many, here’s a HQ version of the hard to find KENNY LOGGINS 1988’s album “Back To Avalon” in its lastest Japanese Edition – the only remaster available and completely sold out. It’s funny; you can get a regular release (yet a bit flat in sound) in any bargain bin for $3, but used copies of this remastered Japanese CD are being sold for over $150.
By the time when “Back To Avalon” (1988) was done, Kenny Loggins had become the sultan of soundtracks. Albums seem to be just an afterthought, not much more than a sideline to his main stock-in-trade. All his successes in recent years have come with songs recorded for movie projects. A partial list includes the title track from Footloose, ‘I’m Alright’ from the film Caddyshack, ‘Danger Zone’ from Top Gun and ‘Meet Me Half Way’ from Over The Top.
Apparently having studio time booked to record ‘Nobody’s Fool’ (the theme for Caddyshack II, which is included here), Loggins and his recording label decided to go ahead and knock off an album. This LP should be the ’80s record comprising the most extensive ‘who’s who’ line up of the legendary ’80s LA Session musicians.
ALL are here; drummers Pat Mastelotto, Mike Baird and John Robinson, guitarists Dann Huff and Tim Pierce, Jai Winding on keys, Michael McDonald on keys and vocals, Luis Conte doing percussion, Jeff Pescetto, Richard Page, Mickey Thomas, Tata Vega and countless more on backing vocals, etc…

KENNY LOGGINS – High Adventure [Japan remastered AOR CITY 1000 series] *HQ*

Some time ago we featured some titles from the great ＳＯＮＹ ＭＵＳＩＣ ＪＡＰＡＮ campaign Ａ Ｏ Ｒ Ｃ Ｉ Ｔ Ｙ １０００ , a low-priced remastered reissue on 100 classic AOR / AC albums from their back catalog, many of them out of print or hard to find. The AOR CITY Series were available for a limited period, and now most of these titles are out of print.
There’s some little gems in these series such a this KENNY LOGGINS ’80s albums.
Famous worldwide for his string of soundtrack successes in the mid ’80s, KENNY LOGGINS had a strong solo career as well, and this 1982’s “High Adventure” is one of his most celebrated albums. As requested, here it is at max quality.
As used to happen with ‘major production’ recordings back in the ’80s, the who’s who play here on “High Adventure”; from Toto’s Steve Lukather & David Paich to David Foster, Richard Page, Steve George and Tom Snow, or Journey frontman Steve Perry who performs a duet on “Don’t Fight It”, also co-written by him.
“High Adventure” is brimming with great tunes sporting the typical commercial AOR sound you would associate with the early ’80s, mixed with radio-friendly Rock&pop plus some smooth L.A. West Coast ballads.
The album spawned three Top 40 hits including the aforementioned duet “Don’t Fight It” (with the added bonus of Pat Benatar’s Neil Giraldo on guitar) “Heart To Heart” and “Welcome To Heartlight.”..

After Loggins & Messina, KENNY LOGGINS solo carreer explored a mix of styles ranging from R&B / funk to Westcoast smooth poppy AOR.
But then, the dividing point for Kenny was, naturally, Footloose, the blockbuster 1984 hit that helped turn him into something of a teen sensation at the age of 36, and with the assistance of Michael Omartian and David Foster, he dove headfirst into synthesizers, radio-ready rock&pop / lite AOR, hugely layered backing vocals and chicken-scratch guitars & smooth solos courtesy of Tim Pierce, Michael Landau, Paul Jackson Jr., Steve Lukather…

KENNY LOGGINS – Japanese Singles Collection [Blu-SpecCD2 Japan-only release Remastered] HQ *EXCLUSIVE*

We are presenting in exclusive this Japan-only release: KENNY LOGGINS “Japanese Singles Collection” pressed on Blu-SpecCD2, including all his charting singles in Japan freshly remastered.
This is much more than a ‘Greatest Hits’ as we can find here some little gems impossible to find until now, like the awesome 1987 AOR tune ‘Chain Lightning’ originally used in a Japanese beer commercial – single only released in Japan and for the first time on CD here – or ‘Be Bop A Lula’, also a Japan-only single.

KENNY LOGGINS – Celebrate Me Home [Japan AOR CITY 1000 series / remastered] *EXCLUSIVE*

Requested by many of you some time ago, here’s more from the stupendous “AOR CITY 1000 series” by Sony Music Japan, a campaign featuring a low-priced reissue on classic AOR / AC albums from their back catalog (many of them out of print or hard to find).
To complete the KENNY LOGGINS‘ reissues from these series, here’s his solo debut album “Celebrate Me Home“, which in this case uses the last DSD mastering for optimal results.
This is smooth Westcoast AOR / soft FM stuff, filled with leisurely paces, sweet electric guitars courtesy of giants Robben Ford, Lee Ritenour and Dean Parks, electric pianos and easy attitude — so it’s no surprise when you discover this is a co-production by Billy Joel’s chief collaborator Phil Ramone and Bob James.
Remasters of “Celebrate Me Home” are not easy to find, mostly expensive Japan releases now out of print. So this is a nice chance to get it at a very affordable price.

Requested by many of you some time ago, here’s more from the stupendous “AOR CITY 1000 series” by Sony Music Japan, a campaign featuring a low-priced reissue on classic AOR / AC albums from their back catalog (many of them out of print or hard to find). This is KENNY LOGGINS‘ ”Keep The Fire”, taken from the original rare version CD including 2 bonus tracks.
”Keep The Fire” is Kenny’s third solo album after Loggins & Messina disbanded, and is perhaps best known for the hit single “This is It” and the title track. A young Michael Jackson sings harmony vocals on the track “Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong”, and we find songwriting collaborations from future Mr. Mister Richard Page (who provide backing vocals as well)…

Requested by many of you some time ago, here’s more from the stupendous “AOR CITY 1000 series” by Sony Music Japan, a campaign featuring a low-priced reissue on classic AOR / AC albums from their back catalog (many of them out of print or hard to find).
This is KENNY LOGGINS‘ “Nightwatch“, including two bonus tracks. ”Nightwatch” is the second solo album from Loggins, his highest charting album on the Billboard 200 to date, reaching number 7.
It features the hit single “Whenever I Call You Friend” featuring Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks (co-written with Melissa Manchester), which peaked at number 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as the first recorded version of The Doobie Brothers “What a Fool Believes,” which Loggins co-wrote with Michael McDonald.
