MEAT LOAF – Midnight At The Lost And Found [Music On CD reissue] (2020) HQ *0dayrox Exclusive*

Alongside MEAT LOAF‘s second album, Music On CD has reissued as well his third LP “Midnight At The Lost And Found“. By the early ’80s, Loaf, his songwriting partner Jim Steinman and Epic Records were in the middle of a legal dispute which ended in “Midnight At The Lost And Found” being the first MEAT LOAF album without Steinman involved.
In many ways, this benefited MEAT LOAF to showcase his own songwriting skills, helped by the likes of Steve Buslowe (Kiss, Bonnie Tyler), Mark Doyle (Hall & Oates), Danny Peyronel (UFO), Dick Wagner (Alice Cooper) and more.
With talented Rick Derringer providing many of the guitars, “Midnight At The Lost And Found” is a quite rocking album with that 1983’s sound…

MEAT LOAF – Dead Ringer [Music On CD reissue] *0dayrox Exclusive*

As requested, here’s the recent reissue from Music On CD of MEAT LOAF‘s underrated second album “Dead Ringer“. After the mega success of 1977’s Bat Out of Hell, the combination of endless touring, drugs and exhaustion had caused MEAT LOAF to lose his voice.
It took four years for MEAT LOAF to come back with 1981’s “Dead Ringer”, again entirely by partner Jim Steinman. Loaf sang with all his heart backed by the fabulous E Street Band; succeeding again in writing / producing perhaps the most bizarre rock tales, complimented by comic book artist and horror illustrator Bernie Wrightson’s artwork.
“Dead Ringer” is a roller-coaster ride taking you from heavy rock through to beautiful love-drenched ballads and back again (often doing this across the course of a single song) all plenty of drama.
The album reached #1 in the UK Album charts in ’81, while the single “Dead Ringer for Love” (featuring Cher) #5 in the UK Singles Chart…

JIM STEINMAN (Meat Loaf) – Bad For Good [Japan Edition] RARE

After the recent post of Meat Loaf’s Bat Out Of Hell, some of you asked for the songwriter JIM STEINMAN album “Bad For Good“. The work / songs were originally intended to be recorded by Meat Loaf as a follow up to Bat Out Of Hell. However, Loaf suffered vocal problems and was unable to sing (he would record several tracks from Bad For Good for his later albums).
So Steinman decided to record “Bad For Good” in 1981 performing the lead vocals himself.
The album never was remastered, and we think this rare, hard to find Japanese Edition sounds much better than the other versions.

MEAT LOAF – Blind Before I Stop [Cherry Red / Hear No Evil remastered] (2017)

One of you requested the British label Cherry Red / Hear No Evil just released, first ever remastered version of MEAT LOAF‘s “Blind Before I Stop“, by far, my favorite album from this artist. This is Loaf’s first record to fully embrace the ’80s sound, and what a bunch of amazing AOR tunes it includes. Honestly, I never been a...
