SUNSTORM – Still Roaring [The Studio Session] (2022)

On the heels of their newest studio album, “Brothers In Arms“, SUNSTORM will release a special new recording, “Still Roaring [The Studio Session]”, via Frontiers Music, October 21, 2022. Recorded when they gathered to film music videos for the aforementioned new studio album, the band took advantage of the time together to record a live session in the studio.
“Still Roaring” sees the band performing 10 songs from the band’s two most recent releases as well as previous ones. While this is ‘live’, it’s into the studio, with all the advantages of a clean recording without disturbing noises.
“Still Roaring [The Studio Session]” showcases how a killer unit Sunstorm are with the current line up of Ronnie Romero on lead vocals, Luca Princiotta on guitars, Alessandro Del Vecchio on keyboards and backing vocals, Nik Mazzucconi on bass and Michele Sanna on drums…

Next weekend Frontiers Music will release another installment of the terrific SUNSTORM project. The upcoming “Brothers In Arms“, the new Sunstorm album, is the second to feature lead vocalist Ronnie Romero (Michael Schenker, Lords of Black).
Romero’s debut album with Sunstorm, “Afterlife” was released in early 2021 and showcased a rejuvenation of Sunstorm’s previous musical formula, mixing Melodic Rock/AOR with more ’70s oriented hard rock ala Rainbow (for which Romero performed as singer).
That recipe is perfected on “Brothers In Arms” with new guitarist Luca Princiotta (Doro, Blaze) joining the lineup of Romero, bassist Nik Mazzucconi, drummer Michele Sanna, and keyboardist Alessandro Del Vecchio…

INTELLIGENT MUSIC PROJECT VII – Unconditioned (2022)

The stupendous melodic rock / AOR / classic rock band INTELLIGENT MUSIC PROJECT are releasing its seventh studio album entitled “Unconditioned”. The legendary Simon Phillips (TOTO) returns as percussionist and musical co-producer of the new album, while the lead vocalist on this release is again one of the most popular names in hard rock / metal music today: Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, MSG).
This will be Romero’s third album with Intelligent Music Project, and for the first time the group has expanded its compositional approach: two of the songs are entirely the work of Ronnie, guitarist Biser Ivanov and keyboard player Ivo Stefanov.
For the first time on “Unconditioned,” the band’s lead singer shows off his skills as a lyricist, having penned the words to those two songs. All the other songs and lyrics are once again the creation of Intelligent Music Project’s founder and executive producer, Dr. Milen Vrabevski. In addition to Phillips and Romero, the album also includes Carl Sentance (Nazareth) on vocals.
“Unconditioned” is the more ‘melodic hard rocking’ album from IMP so far, with a pulsating vibe recalling Joe Lynn Turner solo or even the first Sunstorm. Production is crisp and detailed, a real pleasure to listen to.

LORDS OF BLACK – Lords Of Black (2022 reissue)

Celebrating the 8th anniversary of its original release, LORDS OF BLACK are reissuing their self-titled debut album “Lords Of Black“. The disc was released by themselves in 2014 when LORDS OF BLACK still wasn’t signed by Frontiers Music, and powerhouse Ronnie Romero was unknown for the major audience.
“Lords Of Black” remains unheard by many people, so this is cool re-release to discover this good album. While self-released, the recording has a bombastic production, mastered & mixed by Roland Grapow (ex Helloween) who knows a thing or two about classic melodic metal.
And indeed “Lords Of Black” first album is a blast of melodic metal with progressive moments very well arranged & executed, and where Romero showcases his incredible power ranging from calm clean passages to a stratospheric register.

RONNIE ROMERO – Raised On Radio (2022) *0dayrox World Premiere*

One of the great up-and-coming hard rock singers of our time, RONNIE ROMERO, will release next Friday on Frontiers Music a unique covers album, “Raised On Radio“. The album features covers of classics that have meant something special to Romero over the years and helped forge this talented singer’s musical style.
Songs by legendary acts like Survivor, Bad Company, Foreigner, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and more are given Romero’s talented vocal treatment here.
Joining Romero is a stellar cast of musicians, including Srdjan Brankovic (The Big Deal, Alogia) on guitar, Javi Garcia on bass, Andy C (ex-Lords of Black) on drums, and Alessandro Del Vecchio on keyboards, etc.
