After their celebrated debut album, female fronted rockers SPACE ELEVATOR are back with new album “Persona Non Grata” to be released next February 25th. It’s amazing that this British combo sound so downright American! This is no British Invasion nor the coming of a new wave, but if we had to put our fingers on it, it’s more like the second coming of Pat Benatar – classic, ‘70s and ‘80s-tinged, American rock n’ roll.
Space Elevator continue to deliver a great blend of catchy, rocking power pop music that is rooted in classic rock with a slight ’80s radio element. The Duchess hooks you right in, delivering stellar vocals that are well paired with David Young’s limitless selection of hooky guitar riffs and grooves…

Some years ago, England’s SPACE ELEVATOR, formed by guitarist David Young and flamboyant vocalist The Duchess, dropped their debut album. They promptly shocked and pleased the music community with their surprising and entertaining AOR / Melodic Mock inspired by the classics. Well, folks, Space Elevator is back to do it again with the aptly titled “II” to be released tomorrow....

Last year we featured here in exclusive the self-titled debut of SPACE ELEVATOR, the new sensation from Britain that was put together by songwriter / guitarist David Young, who plays in the West End production of the Queen musical ‘We Will Rock You’.
While preparing the new album, the band has re-launched the album re-entitled “Space Elevator 1“, featuring as bonus track a cover of Queen’s ‘Who Wants To Live Forever’ (read comments), plus some tracks re-mixed and new artwork.
David Young has pulled into the project some of the best musicians in the business including Whitesnake / Black Sabbath legend Neil Murray on bass, Elliott Ware (The Who, Alice Cooper) on keyboards and in demand rock session drummer Brian Greene.
The last piece of the Space Elevator line up is the female lead singer known only as ‘The Duchess’ who has a voice that really must be heard to be believed (and a gorgeous look).
I pretty much guarantee that if you’re a fan of classic rock then this album will blow you away…
