V8 (Donnie Vie) – Mrs. Vandevelde (2016)

This one was requested by a reader, the new band of ex- Enuff Z’Nuff vocalist Donnie Vie called V8, formed alongside British musician Baz Francis and Lewis John. The group toured all over Europe last year and now are presenting their debut EP “Mrs. Vandevelde“.

Both musicians previously worked together on Donnie’s solo albums, and now the trio combined their various personality nuances once more and became a group of sorts called V8.
They played several gigs including into the setlist Donnie Vie’s songs from his recent solo career – and of course Enuff Z’Nuff classics, plus Baz Francis own music, also a prolific songwriter.

Main new track ‘Mrs Vandevelde’ it is an ode to Donnie’s mum, Karen (Vandevelde is her last name) sung with a pinch of salt (explicit lyrics) yet a whole lotta love; very much in honour of the lady in question with a danceable rhythm and a cool drum beat.
With the support of Mitchell Edmond at Dharma Bucks Records, the EP is being released digital and on a 7″ vinyl.
It’s a limited edition.
