EDDIE MONEY – Unplug It In (acoustic live) Out Of Print
EDDIE MONEY is not longer with us but his music will live forever. One of you asked for his “Unplug It In” CD, now out of print. Eddie was one of the first rockers to make an attempt to capitalize on MTV’s successful Unplugged series, releasing this record in 1992.
Like any “unplugged” recording, the album features a collection of the Brooklyn rocker biggest hits performed acoustically, including percussion, pianos, mandolin and acoustic guitars.
While Money’s songs have always been big, anthemic pop-rockers, which benefited from their slick studio production, a good song is always a good song, and classics like “Two Tickets To Paradise” or “Gimme Some Water” sond great in these stripped-back arrangements.
At the time of this recording Eddie was in very good shape, and his voice feels natural, relaxed, but strong when the set get uptempo for fans delight.
His backing band is stupendous, and the recording quality is top notch. Honestly, if properly promoted, this “Unplug It In” could have been huge in sales, something that happened with Tesla, Kiss, Clapton, etc similar type of releases.
Very good record. Highly Recommended
