EDDIE MONEY – Life For The Taking [Rock Candy remaster] *0dayrox Exclusive*
Many of you have been asking for missing Rock Candy remastered & reloaded reissues to complete collections, and here’s as requested EDDIE MONEY‘s 2nd album “Life For The Taking“, perhaps the most complete LP in the singer’s career.
Recorded with a clever ‘if it’s not broken, don’t fix it’ approach and sticking to what he knew best, for “Life For The Taking” Eddie reconvened the same team who worked on his debut album. The results were equally as magical, Eddie’s identifiably gritty voice sitting atop a fine collection of songs that mixed r ‘n’ b with rock very much in the same style as his debut album.
Issued in early 1979, the album consolidated the success of his debut, lodging itself in the top 20 of the US album charts. It also contained material that would provide more introspective lyrical content such ‘You Can’t Keep A Good Man Down’ and the magnificent title track, a brooding epic inspired by his childhood experiences in Brooklyn.
