SIMPLE LIES – Millennial Zombies (2022)

With the suggestive title ”Millennial Zombies”, this is the new album from Italian hard rockers SIMPLE LIES, an experienced combo formed fifteen years ago with tours all over Europe and with gigs supporting the likes of Skid Row, Angra, Wednesday 13, Girlschool, Secret Sphere and many others.
There’s a great portion of sleaze into SIMPLE LIES classic hard rock, with groove and edgy riffs wrapped by an up-to-date production, and a style that falls somewhere between Hardcore Superstar and The Poodles.
Frontman Alessandro Rubino seems born in America – no accent and a lot of swagger – while the two guitar players deliver a pretty killer set of melodies and solos. This is the kind of albums that puts a smile in your face; it takes you back to glorious days with a feel good vibe.
