WRABIT – West Side Kid [Japan HR/HM 1000 Vol.4 series] (2022) *0dayrox Exclusive*

Universal Music Japan has started this year another campaign of their ‘HR/HM 1000‘ series, that meaning the reissue of long time out of print albums from their Hard Rock / Heavy Metal catalog at the price of 1000 Yen = about 9 USD.
As part of the 2022 HR-HM 1000 Vol.4 series, as requested, we have here Canadian melodic rockers WRABIT final album “West Side Kid“, quite hard to find on any format for years. Originally released 1983, you know the style & sound here, pretty much in the same vein of previous LP ‘Tracks’: this is catchy, commercial, radio-ready melodic rock / lite AOR.
In fact, the overall sound is more AOR, smooth on tracks like ‘Waiting’, ‘Sing Boy’, ‘Young Girl’, ‘Hold On To Me’ and ‘West Side Kid’ being our favorites but all are very good first half of the ’80s tunes.
The HR-HM 1000 Vol.4 series pressing uses exactly the same mastering from the original Japanese edition, and the sound quality is excellent.
