STATE COWS – High and Dry (2022)

For more than a decade, STATE COWS is one of very few modern yacht rock / westcoast / AOR bands that creates new original music. The band consists of Daniel Andersson on vocals / guitars and Stefan Olofsson on keyboards / bass. Many guest musicians have contributed to their recordings and live gigs, most notably Jay Graydon, Bill Champlin, Jason Scheff, Michael Landau, to name afew.
After being releasing EP’s in recent times, “High and Dry” is their new full length album where everything you love about this musical genre is served with class. These Swedes replicate the Californian summertime like few out there.
“High and Dry” showcases a slightly different approach than previous STATE COWS recordings; while there’s still classic Westcoast smooth songs, others are Lite AOR / retro in a similar fashion of The Night Flight Orchestra, Cats In Space, even Alan Parsons.
