AMETHYST (USA) – The Maze Of Destiny [Retrospect Records remastered]

Not to be confused with many other bands of the same name, this AMETHYST hails from Kansas City and born in 1986. While their looks had a glammy / LA hard rock style, AMETHYST’s music was heavily influenced by bands like Queensryche and Crimson Glory, rich in melody. The five-piece recorded their songs between 1990-1992, six of them ending in a locally distributed cassette.
As requested, here’s for the first time on CD with the title “The Maze Of Destiny“, the Retrospect Records release which compiles all the band’s recordings.
On elaborated songs like “Abstract of mind”, “Executor”, “Mirrored Sky” or “The Trespasser” you can hear all members first-class musicianship and a powerful, clean soaring vocalist, always interesting compositions driven by precise riffs and solos.
