THE KILL – Wake The Dead +6 [Eonian Records digitally remastered] (2022)

The roots of Florida based outfit THE KILL goes back to the early ’90s when guitarist Kip Elder posted an ad in an Orlando based rock magazine. After the line-up has been completed the band met a guy called John Kurzweg, who had his own studio in his house. John produced THE KILL’s debut album ”Wake The Dead” and short after he become a multi-platinum record producer for the band Creed.
”Wake The Dead” got only released as a limited pressing of 1,000 copies and became a huge collectors item. Now Eonian Records is reissuing the album fully remastered and including 6 THE KILL previously unreleased recordings as bonus tracks.
With a sound in the heavier hard rock style from the early 90s akin Skid Row, Badlands, Sweet F.A., Saigon Kick, etc, THE KILL’s ”Wake The Dead” rocks harder, with strong songwriting & musicianship. Drummer Will Hunt went on to write, record, and tour with many high-profile bands, most notably Black Label Society, George Lynch, Slaughter, and currently, the multi-platinum selling Evanescence.
