ModX – Secrets [Japan CD Edition +2] (2023) *0dayrox EXCLUSIVE*

We already featured a few days ago the digital / Japan iTunes version of ModX awesome debut record “Secrets“, and now we have in exclusive as well the Japanese physical CD edition including 2 bonus tracks which worth the investment on this – the ‘Album of the Year’.
The idea for ModX has been a work in progress for Eriksson since as far back as 2005 but often put aside temporarily over the years, due to other commitments in the music industry. By the fall of 2020 though, he finally found the time to prioritize ModX and went into the studio with some talented musicians to start the recordings of the songs penned over the years.
Eriksson has sung and performed most the instruments except guitar solos and drumming, and the album is finally ready. And what an album it is!
”Secrets” will be on many Top 10 ‘Best Of The Year‘ lists – for us, it’s the 2023 Best AOR album so far.

This is timeless AOR / Melodic Rock-spiced music crafted with attention to detail, where melody rule. Needless to say production is crystal clear, but it’s the songwriting skills what really shine here.
These songs are emotional, from the heart, varied, intelligent, plenty of soaring vocals, sparkling keyboards, bright guitars – think Mr Mister, 1985 Journey, StreetTalk – all killers / no fillers.
