“Truth” is A RISING FORCE‘s 3rd album featuring founder guitarist / songwriter Leni DiMancari and new members, Steve Philbrook (Platinum Overdose, Brass Kitten) on lead vocals & guitar, Michael Scott (G.B. Leighton) on drums/vocals, bassist Matt Jacobs, and special guest Brian Saunders (Tuff, Give, Brass Kitten) on bass & vocals on two tracks.
Classic hard rock fans will enjoy this new record consisting of catchy hooks & harmonies, big drums, and walls of guitars. The positive direction of the music and lyrics aim to inspire thought and reflection with songs like ‘Northern Lights’, Thrill of a Lifetime’, ‘Winter’s Calling’, and ‘Come Alive’.
After supporting Warrant, Kix, Tesla & Firehouse, previous A RISING FORCE lead singer leave the band, then DiMancari was approached by his good friend Steve Philbrook from Platinum Overdose, to start writing and recording a new album together.
“Truth” is a strong guitar-driven commercial hard rock album combining with 4-part harmonies (all members contribute) all fronted by an arena rock lead vocalist in the capable Philbrook.
A rare beast in the current American rock scene, A RISING FORCE take their inspiration form the classic ’80s sounds from the genre, with songs propelled by big drum & bass grooves, sharp guitar riffs, double harmony guitar leads, and hard rock vocals – like in good times but translated 2024.
A RISING FORCE is formed by seasoned musicians with years of experience and believe me, they sound very well. At places they bring to mind our beloved Y&T.
It is harder for a new act in the USA to break through into a moribund scene dominated by the same established interests. However this accomplished slice of honest to goodness, traditional American hard rock with the odd modern twist has a good a chance as any.
