With both feet firmly planted in the late ’80s melodic hard rock era, DAYTONA aims to make a mark in the present of the genre as well. No nostalgia, no parody, just authenticity and pure passion for the music.
Daytona is not a project but a new band hailing from Sweden with great ambitions and two key words: heart and craft. Fronted by capable vocalist Fredrik Werner (Osukaru, Air Raid), he’s backed by talented musicians from melodic hard rock bands; Erik Heikne, well known guitarist from the band Miss Behaviour, keyboardist Johan Berlin (previously with Eclipse and TimeScape), bassist Niclas Lindblom band mate of Erik in Miss Behaviour, and drummer Calle Larsson.
The love for ’80s sound is the foundation of everything in DAYTONA’s debut album “Garder La Flamme“.
