JOHN SYKES – Live In Los Angeles 1995 [The Complete Show / Japan CD Alive The Live series] *0dayrox Exclusive*

A few days ago, one of the greatest Rock musicians from the last five decades sadly left us: legendary John Sykes has passed away at the age of 65 after a hard fought battle with cancer. He will be remembered as a man with exceptional musical talent not only with the guitar, but also singing and composing.
Sykes delighted us since his time in Tygers Pan Tang in the early ’80s, in Thin Lizzy during which time the band released the impressive album Thunder and Lightning (1983), in Whitesnake for the recording of the group’s multi-platinum selling self-titled album (1987) and in Blue Murder where he also handled lead vocal duties during the late ’80s / early ’90s.
As a 0dayrox tribute, here we have in exclusive JOHN SYKES “Live In Los Angeles 1995” in its “Alive The Live” series CD release only available in Japan (disc manufactured in Taiwan by King Records) featuring the complete show, including the previously unheard track ‘Riot’.
After Blue Murder disbanded, JOHN SYKES formed his own eponymous band, SYKES. The debut record, “Out Of My Tree,” came out in 1995. For the release of this album, he will hold a promotional concert in Los Angeles and record material for TV and radio broadcast.
This was the very first SYKES concert, with a great line up including John (vocals, guitars), Marco Mendoza (bass, backing vocals), Tommy Osteen (drums, backing vocals) and Nick Green (keyboards). This concert, featuring two tracks from the new album, songs from Blue Murder, Whitesnake, and Thin Lizzy, is an “Anthology of John Sykes” at this point, and is a must-have for John Sykes / all his former bands fans.
Unfortunately the recording never was officially released. Here’s for the first time the full concert, including the song “Riot”. On the TV and radio broadcast (and the many bootlegs around) the song ‘Riot’ is cut by the band’s promotional interview.
Sound quality is excellent for an unreleased recording. A Must for fans & collectors.
R.I.P. JOHN SYKES

DREW CAGLE & THE REPUTATION – Bad Attitude (2025) HQ *0dayrox Exclusive*

DREW CAGLE & THE REPUTATION is a high energy, no apologies, national touring rock n’ roll band from Central Illinois, U.S. The band got its name “The Reputation” after Cagle decided to lean into the considerable ridicule he received in the beginning while attempting to perform his original music in a market primarily dominated by cover bands. Driven by his passion for authentic original expression, Cagle set his sights on the surrounding major cities in the Midwest and across America determined to show the world that classic rock isn’t dead yet.
Today January 31st Drew Cagle & The Reputation return with a vengeance with the release of ”Bad Attitude”, a new collection of boisterous rock ‘n’ roll. “Bad Attitude” combines passionate modern songwriting with the bold sound and swagger of the hard rock superstars from the ‘80s. In an album ironically named after a band Cagle’s father performed with in the early ’90s, DREW CAGLE & THE REPUTATION manages to encapsulate the classic “chip on your shoulder” aggression and natural danger that rock ‘n’ roll has been missing in recent years.
Cagle handles lead vocals and songwriting, and the band features some impressive musicians such as
Shannon Forrest (TOTO) on drums, Tony Palacios (Guardian) on guitar, Craig Young (Elton John) on bass – while L.A. Guns’ legendary guitarist Tracii Guns appears on the title track as guest…

CRUEL ADDICTION – Confess (2025) *HQ*

It’s fun, but Manchester, UK, was never exactly a hotbed for glam metal rock music. Well, CRUEL ADDICTION is taking the ’80s Californian sound for the genre and cranking it loud there in 2025. On their new album titled “Confess” these young dudes show the inspiration by the likes of Motley Crue, Lizzy Borden, WASP, etc, – firing catchy vocals over riff driven rock music, this face-painted band take you straight back to the glam metal scene of the first half of the ’80s, with a horror twist.
To call a glam metal album ‘conceptual’ is almost a blasphemy, but “Confess” tells a story as a whole – of course you can enjoy each track standalone. And despite there’s 15 tracks on the CD, 5 are short interludes. “Confess” packs effective rockin’ songs, with a sound reminiscent of early Motley.
Riffs? This is all about the riffs. Yes, the album is absolutely packed full of them! From blazing lead solos to chunky palm-muted rhythms there’s plenty of inspiration here for you to dust off your air guitar and play along. It happens that CRUEL ADDICTION has an ace guitarist in Ozzy Foxx, a very young talented axeman that had not yet been born when this musical genre was in its heyday.
And let’s not forget Vince Lightborn’s voice, with the right amount of attitude, grit and swagger necessary for this type of rock n’ roll…

WARWOLF – The Final Battle (2025) *HQ*

On the face of it, there isn’t a lot to say about the unreconstructed true metal attack of Cologne’s WARWOLF > In the past they’ve been likened to Iron Maiden‘s ’80s output sung through the vocal filter of Blaze Bayley, and there’s certainly an element of that on their new album ”The Final Battle” to be released by Metalapolis Records.
However at their most Maidenesque – the song ‘A New Hope’ basically seems to be ‘Brave New World’ played faster and with one or two stylistic tweaks – the Bayleyesque nature of Andres Von Lipinski takes on a slightly less obvious hue.
Previously establishing themselves from 1994-2021 as ‘Wolfen’, the band would change names and styles a bit resurrecting as WarWolf. They’ve released two albums to date setting the stage for that all important third full-length for ”The Final Battle”. The five-piece decided to record these ten tracks in more of an authentic manner, sans keyboards, samples, or auto-tuning to correct any mistakes.
What you’ll hear is a mix of the group’s natural Teutonic traditional metal charm next to a bevy of soaring melodies and guitar work that rivals the classic Iron Maiden catalog, the collective sound primitive as if you were taking things in straight off the floor…

REGATTA – No Looking Back [recorded 90-91 / Previously Unreleased] (2025) *HQ*

Celebrated by classic Canadian AOR aficionados, the 1989’s self-titled debut album from REGATTA has been reissued after decades out of print, fully remastered by bass player Matthew Gerrard from original masters and released via The Art Of Loud Recordings.
But alongside that lost classic Gerrard also compiled, cleaned and remastered the many songs REGATTA wrote for their second album. Unfortunately the group was dropped by RCA when they were at the pre-production stage.
Here we have these until now Previously Unreleased songs carefully curated by Gerrard and put together under the title “No Looking Back“. The sound quality is very good, and musically REGATTA continues with their smooth blend of Canadian-style ’80s AOR, Melodic Rock and pop-rock, although a few cuts present a little ‘edgier’ approach.
Finally these strong shelved songs see the light of day for all fans of the genre rejoice…

REGATTA – Regatta ’89 [Remastered 2025] *HQ*

Considered a classic among Canadian AOR aficionados, the 1989’s self-titled debut album from REGATTA is now being reissued after decades out of print, fully remastered by bass player Matthew Gerrard from original masters and released via The Art Of Loud Recordings.
With an AOR / Melodic Rock style & sound similar to Boulevard blended with rock&pop infectious melodies, “Regatta” is an album with all the magic from the ’80s Canadian scene: elegant, pristine, with crystal clear production. Listening “Regatta” today it seems recorded yesterday regarding the quality and timeless nature of the music, yet it sounds with that late ’80s atmosphere almost impossible to replicate.
Released by major label RCA, “Regatta” sold well and worked fine on the radio, however as happened with many bands at the time, they were dropped next year. Songs like opener ‘Wherever You Run’, the awesome ‘This Is Love’, ‘I Will Be There’, ‘Matter of Time’, etc, are pure gold for ’80s AOR lovers.
A really welcomed reissue…

FORMOSA – Pyrite (2025) *HQ*

Hailing from Essen, Germany, FORMOSA are ready to release their new album “Pyrite“, and by far is their best effort since the band formed a decade ago. Originally their sound was brisk, raw, but now 2025 FORMOSA is a polished, oiled rock n’ roll machine with a powerful clean classic hard rock sound.
”Pyrite”, mixed and mastered by Eclipse frontman Erik Mårtensson, rocks hard from beginning to end. FORMOSA’s formula to keep you entertained through the 13 tracks of “Pyrite” is simple: their songs rarely exceed the 3-minute mark.
”Pyrite” is Hard Rock with a smooth edge – there’s plenty of drive and groove but it’s never discordant or aggressive and contains enough power to get bodies moving to the rhythm. We really love the guitar work from Nik Beer throughout the album. There’s some really delicious catchy riffage which is highly infectious still retaining a heavy stance. And the band add a bluesy touch on a couple of songs.
Classic hard rock fans who enjoy a heavy dose of melody will revel in the infectious nature of this album for sure…

KILMARA – Journey To The Sun (2025) *HQ*

KILMARA is a curious band: they mix power metal – the kind of catchy, accessible, commercial power metal as we know the genre today, with ’80s AOR flurries, especially with the use of synths in the current ‘synthwave’ style. and that’s a welcomed fusion, and the band’s upcoming new album “Journey To The Sun” sounds like no-other.
The concept of ”Journey To The Sun” is set in the arcade halls of the late ’80s, where first love, unbreakable friendships, rivalries, defeats and victory celebrations took place. KILMARA take up the baton as heirs to the new power metal heroes and bring back the singer of the legendary and sorely missed Swedish band Lost Horizon, Daniel Heiman – one of the best voices the genre has produced and who will undoubtedly blow you away with his appearance as special guest on ‘Take Me Back’.
It’s always fun seeing bands that start off in other genres and decide to switch gears, and KILMARA have done so impressively with ”Journey to the Sun”, which is an excellent album from start to finish. Traces of their melodic metal roots can be found at points, with a nice mix of heavy and melodic guitars, as well as some nice electronic / synth sounding keys…

THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA – Give Us The Moon (2025) *HQ*

Acclaimed AOR force THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA are back with their seventh studio album ”Give Us The Moon”, set for release on January 31, 2025, via Napalm Records. Founded in 2007 by members of high-profile bands such as Soilwork, Arch Enemy, and Mean Streak, THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA have been nominated three times for the Swedish Grammys, gathering millions of streams with their hits.
The multifaceted new offering continues THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA’s mission of protecting true AOR and will impress fans and critics alike with its spellbinding storylines, brilliant musicianship and unique sound. The new 13-track album takes the listener on a timeless sonic journey, balancing between uplifting escapism and captivating stories inspired by real life events.
The intro track “Final Call” sets the scene for ”Give Us The Moon” before impressive opening track “Stratus” is followed by the beautifully nostalgic “Shooting Velvet”. “Like The Beating Of A Heart” captures the listener with its irresistibly catchy chorus, while massive “Melbourne, May I?” is a classic THE NIGHT FLIGHT ORCHESTRA anthem, featuring terrific solos that are equally prominent on following track “Miraculous”…

THE RALPH (Dino Jelusic) – Enter Escape (2017) *HQ*

And here we have more rare stuff featuring great singer Dino Jelusic: the Croatian progressive metal band THE RALPH previously had a female vocalist and were looking for more power for their album titled ”Enter Escape”.
Recorded in 2017, all lyrics on ”Enter Escape” are in English, and musically these guys are second to none with a dynamic modern progressive sound and detailed arrangements. Production & mix are excellent, and of course Jelusic shines elevating these songs to upper-level.
Jelusic put emphasis on each song to give the vocal work a distinct feeling as the songs are pretty varied, with tons of guitar / keyboard interplay akin Dream Theater, Sons Of Apollo, etc. Dino shows his abilities to morph between registers at the service of the composition.
Not only for the joy to listen Dino Jelusic’s voice, THE RALPH’s ”Enter Escape” album itself is more than a pleasant find, a quality product on all aspects. It was a limited edition CD, out of print now…

DINO JELUSIC – Prosao Sam Sve (2014) *Exclusive* Rare

Continuing with the requests of early music from impressive Croatian vocalist / musician DINO JELUSIC before he became world-wide famous working for Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Dead Daisies, Magnus Carlsson’s Free Fall and many more – and of course his own bands Animal Drive and Jelusic – here’s his mega-rare third solo effort: “Prosao Sam Sve“.
As you might guess from the CD title, “Prosao Sam Sve” is sung by Jelusic in his native language, however, it’s enjoyable anyway, and this album is the first to feature the entire song list written by Dino himself.
After the release of his previous LP ‘Living My Own Life’ (featured yesterday at 0dayrox in exclusive) in 2011, Dino planned some gigs in Scandivavia to present the album but shortly thereafter required surgery due to issues with his vocal cords. The surgery was a success and he underwent vocal training, and then released this “Prošao sam sve” (“I went through everything”) in 2014, the first album where he was also the main songwriter. At this point, Jelusic had also learned bass and keyboards, and play both on the album.
“Prošao sam sve” is a very, very rare CD, a collectible for all DINO JELUSIC fans…

DINO JELUSIC – Living My Own Life (2011) *Exclusive* Rare

Many of you have been requesting early music from impressive vocalist / musician DINO JELUSIC before becoming world-wide famous working for Whitesnake, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, The Dead Daisies, Magnus Carlsson’s Free Fall and many more – and of course his own bands Animal Drive and Jelusic.
Despite his expansive career so far, Dino is only 32 years-old now. As his parents are musicians, Jelusick was introduced to music and singing at the age of three and started performing at the age of five by appearing on television, on stages, and at festivals. He won Croatia’s Junior Eurovision 2003 with mere 11, and recorded / released his first album (pop-rock) that same year. As Jelusick entered his teens and lost his ability to hit the high notes, he grown up listening to King’s X, Whitesnake, Dream Theater and Toto, among others, and he decided to change his musical direction to hard rock and metal.
In 2009, and only 17-years old, DINO JELUSIC released his 2nd studio album – “Living My Own Life”. Sung in English language, the material was recorded in Melbourne, Australia, and was finalized by Swedish producer Robert Ahrling.
