ZAKK SABBATH – Live in Detroit [official release vinyl-only +2] (2017)

Hells to the yeah! The Zakk Wylde-led all-star cover band ZAKK SABBATH have released their new album ‘Doomed Forever Forever Doomed’ featured in exclusive at 0dayrox, and many of you asked for the band’s very first official release, 2017’s “Live in Detroit“.
Before Zakk Sabbath recorded their first studio album 2020’s ‘Vertigo’, previously they toured for almost ten years, with dozens of gigs around the world. Fans were asking for an album, or at least an EP, an there were a lot of bootlegs but nothing professionally done.
Then Zakk Sabbath recorded ”Live in Detroit” captured at the band’s thundering performance at The Fillmore in Detroit, Michigan on October 28th, 2016. A limited run of vinyl-LP only (not other format, nor streaming) were pressed and sold exclusively during their 2017 tour, hand-signed.
”Live in Detroit”comprises only three tracks, Sabbath covers of War Pigs, Supernaut, and Fairies Wear Boots, but dude, what a killer live versions. The sound quality of the recording is really good.

This concert-based set finds Wylde, bassist Blasko and drummer Joey Castillo rocking out covers of “War Pigs,” “Supernaut” and “Fairies Wear Boots.” The cover of “War Pigs” is particularly epic, clocking in at over 13 minutes and taking up the entire Side A of the LP.

As said, there were many Zakk Sabbth bootlegs, and we selected a couple of songs (the best sound available, approved by the band) as extras. These are the covers of ‘Wicked World’ recorded in 2015, and other version of ‘Fairies Wear Boots’ featuring Stone Sour’s frontman Corey Taylor as guest vocalist.
