THE SUGARFIX is a brand new project album from the creative forces behind The Darren Phillips Project and East Temple Avenue, Darren Phillips and Dan Skeed. Unlike previous DPP albums, this project features other band member in Jase Old (from melodic rockers The Radio Sun, and AORsters Starchase) who features on lead vocals and also shares co-writing credits across the entire album.
Dominantly known on past albums for their melodic rock sensibilities, the trio, on this occasion, have embarked on a journey based more in traditional rock&pop / classic rock, with inspirations such as Bryan Adams, Lou Gramm, Daughtry and John Farnham.
Still laced with catchy hooks and soaring harmonies, ”The Sugarfix” take the nostalgic sounds from days of old and unleash them today with a fresh modern sound and crisp production. Just take a look at the cover art: this is ’80s inspired material.
