SAVATAGE are a band of staggering power and unlimited creativity, establishing themselves at the ‘cutting-edge’ of the hard rock world, with a career spanning twelve albums. August 2021 was the beginning of the extensive re-release campaign of the entire back-catalogue, which continues 2022 with more certified classics on LP.
1991’s “Streets : A Rock Opera” is considered to be SAVATAGE magnum opus – leaned in to the path of “concept album”. The main theme of this album is the story of the tumultuous life of a guitar prodigy named D.T. Jesus, who find himself living on the street. The sound & style is a mixture of Eighties hard rock and ‘orchestral’ progressive, with great arrangements and atmospheres.
Especially remastered for vinyl, reissued with the original cover design on 2-LP for better sound quality, and including the bonus track ‘Larry Elbows’, this release isn’t just a must-have for Savatage fans, but for any vinyl aficionado.

US American metal icons SAVATAGE are one of the most influential bands in their genre. Founded 1981 by brothers Jon and Criss Oliva in Florida, the band met producer Paul O’Neill in the mid-1980s while touring with Motörhead – and the rest is history. They have earned their legendary status amongst the Metal community for effortlessly blending relentless classic metal, hard rock sounds with a progressive and experimental approach, resulting in some of the genre’s best concept albums.
Now earMUSIC is paying tribute to SAVATAGE with a carefully curated vinyl LP reissues series of all studio albums, especially mastered for vinyl.
