SUPER VINTAGE – Salvation Road (2015)

With a new album under the arm, classic hard rockers formerly known as Hush ‘N Rush return with their new name SUPER VINTAGE. After four records under the previous moniker, “Salvation Road” is the 4-piece new album after being singed by Grooveyard Records (that’s the reason of name change).

Highly praised by Classic Rock Magazine, Super Vintage delivers an explosive blend of blues-based, dynamic Classic hard rock mojo that lands world-class and is all about keeping the true Rock alive.
The first thing that surprises me is the musicians origins; all are Greek including Stavros Papadopoulos on guitar & vocals, Panagiotis Zabourlis on guitar, Giorgos Filopelou on bass and Lazaros Simitsis on drums. But honestly, they sound like a pure English breed quartet.

You’ll be surprised by Super Vintage. This is a terrific combo delivering first class hard rock / classic rock with more blood and authenticity than many ‘major’ bands in the current scene.
The twin guitar-fueled songs are potent but clean, rockin’ but extremely melodic, the vocals are groovy & deep, while the rhythm section resembles many famous bass/drum section but with a modern sound. All excellent players who combine to create classy material yet imaginative.
There’s not a single track on “Salvation Road” to not like. Some to mention; the monsta-groove “Broke”, the catchy “Better Days” or the almost melodic rock of “Seize The Day”.
But believe me, all are great.

As I said before, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by Super Vintage’s “Salvation Road”.
Songs, musicianship and top class production with nothing to envy (in fact they are much better) to many established major acts. These guys deserve to be huge.
I even will compare this “Salvation Road” with The Winery Dogs new album, yes, they are that good and play the same musical game.
