MARKO PUKKILA with Friends – Kiss My Covers II (2021)

Finnish bassist and composer MARKO PUKKILA wrote songs and recorded on over 40 albums, a musician with over 20 years of experience and member of classic hard rockers Stargazery, and melodic metal / progressive acts Shadow Tribe and Altaria. With the help of international legends from the genre he released a covers album a couple years ago doing fresh versions of ’80s classic songs.
Now he’s releasing MARKO PUKKILA with Friends ”Kiss My Covers II”, the second installment of the project again covering timeless songs like ‘Tarot Woman’ (Rainbow), ‘He’s Back’ (Alice Cooper), ‘Too Young To Fall In Love’ (Mötley Crue), etc, but this time recuiting Finnish-only musicians.
Including current or former members from bands like AORsters One Desire, Hanoi Rocks, Tarot, Stratovarius, Thunderstone, etc. This is really interesting, because this time the players aren’t legends from the ’80s scene, and they show up a different perspective to these songs.
And they rock with style, from Twisted Sister’s ‘The Price’ (ex-Princess Pang vocalist Jay Lewis is awesome here) or ‘Send Me An Angel’ (Blackfoot) to more metallic tunes like Judas Priest’s ‘Metal Gods’ (love this one) or ‘Soldiers Under Command’ (Stryper).
