Danes PUSH were one of the bands that kept the melodic hard rock flame alive during the Nineties / early 2000’s. The band now got the rights of all their albums and started by themselves a reissue campaign as most their CD’s are out of print.
Shaken, Not Stirred” is PUSH’s second album, originally released 1998. For this 2024 reissue, the band added the original Japanese bonus track.
On this second album PUSH sounds much more hard rocking than on their third we featured a few days ago. Here still was into the line up original guitarist Martin Slott, a musician with an edgier background, with a metal formation. The riffs & solos on “Shaken, Not Stirred” are pretty sick, sharp-killer.
Musically, “Shaken, Not Stirred” is the European answer to the very early White Lion, also due to vocalist and songwriter Martie Peters vocal time similar to Mike Tramp.

‘Rock And Roll Livin’, ‘Never Again’, ‘Casanova’ are terrific hard rockers with melody, and for more melodic stuff power ballad ‘Alone’ and the acoustically filled ‘Need You Here’ will please fans of that classy ’80s sound.
The Japanese bonus track is a new recording of a song from Push debut album, ‘Soul On Fire ’98 Version’, heavier and kick ass.

Push from Denmark is a band still unheard by many – “Shaken, Not Stirred” is a killer hard rock album guaranteed to rock your socks off.
