SWEDISH EROTICA – Too Daze Gone… [2024 reissue] + 8 bonus tracks *HQ*

Swedish melodic hard rock band SWEDISH EROTICA is re-releasing 2024 their album “Too Daze Gone…” now by themselves. Originally put out by MTM Music the album consists of lost tracks recorded by the band during its existence, all previously unreleased, remastered by expert Martin Kronlund.
Mats Leven vocals sound much more agressive than on the band’s first album, and guitars kill with biting riffs & solos.
Additionally, there’s early versions of songs later re-recorded for the self-titled debut. These, featuring Goran Edman as lead vocalist, were part of the tape that got Swedish Erotica signed by major label Virgin Scandianvia.
Don’t be fooled by the album’s name – this is not sleaze, but Scandi melodic hard rock of the highest order. Sound quality is excellent, even the demo tracks.

The title track is a prime-time shot of ’80s neon lit hard rock, which is chased by the image-heavy era inspired trio of “Muscle in Motion”, the sultry “Show a Little Lace” and the down ‘n’ dirty “Blue Movies”.
Among the tracks featuring Goran Edman, we find a cool, low-slung cover of Mott the Hoople’s “Roll Away the Stone”.

SWEDISH EROTICA deserved much more praise and should be better known by melodic hard rock aficionados. ”Too Daze Gone…” will make your day.
