WHITESNAKE – 1987 [30th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition] CD4: 87 Versions (2017)

It’s finally here: WHITESNAKE‘s smash hit album “1987 (30th Anniversary Remaster 2017)” in its Super Deluxe Edition Box set including 4CD+DVD, plenty of previously unreleased material and the Original Album freshly Remastered 2017.

This super-deluxe edition of 1987 comes stuffed with the requisite add-ons in the shape of four extra discs of material (three audio, one visual).
This CD 4 features the “87 Versions [remixes]“, most of them previously unreleased except Japan many years ago.

CD4 “87 Versions [remixes]” kicks off with 4 brand new remixes made especially for this set. These 2017 remixes are fine, slightly more ‘reverb induced’ than the originals.
Then we have four tracks from their out of print Japanese “1987 Versions” mini-album (featured on this blog), including re-recorded (in the year 1987) versions of ‘Standing In The Shadows’ and Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac classic, ‘Need Your Love So Bad’.

This disc ends with the 1988 radio mix of ‘Here I Go Again’ and the single version of ‘Give Me All Your Love’.
All material for fans and collectors, very well re-mastered.
