Unique guitarist JOE BONAMASSA is releasing today ”Road To Redemption”, a new EP featuring the songs that were exclusive to the Target release of his album ‘Redemption’.
These tracks are uptempo rocker “Black Roses”, a different version of “Stronger Now in Broken Places (band version)” – this reworked take has a strong Gary Moore feel, and “Somewhere Down the Road”, an atmospheric blues ballad.
The EP is rounded out by selections from ‘Redemption’, Joe personally pick up his favorite numbers from the LP.

A notable release for many different reasons, JOE BONAMASSA’s latest offering, ”Now Serving: Royal Tea Live From The Ryman”, is set for release June 11th via Provogue / Mascot Label Group. The Ryman Auditorium occupies a special place in music history. A former home of the Grand Ole Opry, where Elvis Presley once walked the stage, the historic, hundred-year-old building has stolen the metaphorical hearts of artists thanks to its unique atmosphere and unrivalled acoustics.
For Bonamassa’s concert, recorded during the pandemic, the Ryman was populated with life-size cardboard cut-outs of fans, and broadcast across the globe. You can hear the rich, layered magic of classic Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix here, married to the easy musical invention of The Beatles and the sheer power of Led Zeppelin. Guitar master JOE BONAMASSA extends his already-considerable body of work with a new album, ”Royal Tea”, that comes down October 23rd, 2020 via Provogue/ Mascot Label Group. The record is inspired by Joe’s British blues/rock heroes Jeff Beck, John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, and Cream and was recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in England. ”Royal Tea brings” Bonamassa full-circle to the type of British blues he discovered as a kid in his father’s record collection.
The ten new originals on ”Royal Tea” were co-written by Bonamassa and important British artists including former WHITESNAKE guitarist BERNIE MARSDEN, ex-Cream lyricist Pete Brown, and national-treasure piano man Jools Holland.
