PINK FLOYD – Animals (2018 Remix) [2022] HQ

At long last, PINK FLOYD’s reissue of 1977’s ”Animals” has become a reality. The long-in-the-works ”Animals 2018 Remix” is out on CD & LP after a four-year delay. While the reissue doesn’t contain any bonus tracks or new material, it’s been remastered / remixed by sound engineer James Guthrie, who finished the project, as the title suggests, back in 2018.
However, since then, the album has been stuck in pre-release purgatory over, of all things, its liner notes after Pink Floyd bassist Roger Waters and guitarist David Gilmour couldn’t settle a feud over the issue. Waters singlehandedly wrote the bulk of the five-song studio set, with the exception of “Dogs” — which was co-written with Gilmour.
”Animals” will always be considered one of Floyd’s finest moments. The new mix is thrilling. Even though we’ve all heard this album so many times, the new mix brings a fresh perspective to the piece of work, one that deserves to be experienced…

PINK FLOYD – A Momentary Lapse Of Reason [Remixed & Updated 2021] HQ

Originally released in 1987, PINK FLOYD‘s album ”A Momentary Lapse Of Reason” was updated and remixed by David Gilmour and Andy Jackson for The Later Years Box Set appeared two years ago. Now it’s being standalone released
By returning to some of Richard Wright’s original keyboard parts and by re-recording new drum tracks with Nick Mason, producers David Gilmour and Bob Ezrin have restored the creative balance between the three Pink Floyd members. The front cover features an alternative photograph from the original Hipgnosis Studio album cover photoshoot.
I always loved ”A Momentary Lapse Of Reason”, an atypical album Floyd album – pretty much Gilmour-esque, and its ’80s glossy production sound
This remixed and ‘updated’ version of the album is VERY different. Incorporating more Rick Wright (always a good thing) and Nick Mason re-recording the drum parts (less electronic drums) giving the album a much more organic sound. It does change the feel of the album and some of the remixes are notably different in a good way some less so…

PINK FLOYD – Delicate Sound of Thunder +8 [restored, remixed & re-edited] (2020)

PINK FLOYD‘s ”Delicate Sound of Thunder” live album was restored, remixed and re-edited for last year’s mammoth Later Years box set, but this November will be made available separately, across all major physical formats.
The sound on this 1988 release has been completely remixed from the original multi-track tapes by longtime Pink Floyd engineer Andy Jackson with Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, assisted by Damon Iddins.
The new 2CD and 3LP vinyl sets feature this remixed audio and offer more tracks than before: the vinyl triple-disc package offers nine more tracks than the original, while the new double-CD package features eight songs not on the 1988 2xCD set.
We love ’80s PF sound, now revitalized.

This ‘highlights’ single CD of “The Later Years” will also be released, including the best of the bunch including unreleased recordings, new 2019 remixed tracks and rare live takes.
