TRIPLE THREAT – We Ain’t Here To Dance [remastered +3] (2016)

Originally recorded in 1992 and released on cassette only, “We Ain’t Here To Dance” was the debut from TRIPLE THREAT, a much sought after album by Melodic Hard Rock fans / collectors and bootlegged countless times. Now it has been remastered and reissued by the band themselves for all us to enjoy.

Hailing from Detroit, MI, Triple Threat enjoyed a quite strong local success but sadly arrived too late into the scene, and certainly deserved a major label contract.
With the recent Melodic Hard Rock resurgence, the band decided it was time to digitally remastered reissue of “We Ain’t Here To Dance” with new artwork plus some bonus tracks.

Songs like the rocking opener ‘Broken Heart’, the catchy ‘I Don’t Mind’, the highly melodic ‘Rebel Soul’, or the slightly Dokken-esque ‘One Time Lover’ are sure to please fans of late ’80s / early ’90s US classic Melodic Hard Rock.
Some cuts have a little hair metal feel, but mostly are elaborated rockers with strong arrangements and tight instrumentation. Production is excellent for an indie, and this remaster come ot clean and punchy.
The reissue includes 3 bonus (all covers) recorded in 1996, and while are a cool addition, the really interesting (and good) thing is the original album.

“We Ain’t Here To Dance” is a really welcomed reissue from a band that really deserved better luck, as Triple Threat musicians were really good at this game: US Melodic Hard Rock from the classic era.
If you like acts such as Lynch Mob, Icon, Dokken, Roxy Blue, Tora Tora and why not, Danger Danger – I hear things from all of them here – this is one to get immediately.
