Originally available exclusively from the MARILLION website through their personal label Racket Records, now the band has decided to release world-wide “Size Matters“, a 2CD album recorded during a ‘Marillion weekend’ at Port Zelande, The Netherlands, 2009.

Why this recording is so special? Because it brings back the very early MARILLION style.
At one of the dates of the Marillion Weekend Festival in Holland in 2009, the band decided to do a set of all their longer songs (the 10 songs clock in from 9 to 17 minutes), including the Fish-era “Kayleigh / Lavender / Heart Of Lothian,” to the excellent “Neverland” from Hogarth-era Marbles.

MARILLION is simply great when they spread their wings and venture into long-form music.
This album reminds us that they were first conceived as a classic Prog band, reflecting the purest characteristics of the genre.

MARILLION - Size Matters [Limited Numbered Edition] (2018)

From the last 25 years or so, MARILLION developed a much more commercial side (which I love), but this “Size Matters” get them back to their, as well, progressive side with elaborated arrangements, lush keyboards and extended guitar passages.
While available world-wide, this is a numbered, strictly limited release.
A must have for any Prog fan.
