Continuing with the Universal Music Japan reissue of nine rock masterpieces from GARY MOORE featuring cardboard sleeve cover artwork, the high-fidelity SHM-CD format and the latest remastered sound plus bonus tracks, now it’s time for the quite unknown “Rockin’ Every Night“.

Recorded at the Tokyo Kōsei Nenkin Kaikan in 1983 during the Corridors Of Power tour, “Rockin’ Every Night” was originally only released in Japan. It was not given a well-deserved European release until 1986 after fans’ claim.
Then, “Rockin’ Every Night” was recorded before ‘We Want Moore!’, and it’s less polished and heavier yet equally energetic.

Using the same fabulous rhythm section of Whitesnake at the time – Neil Murray / Ian Paice – excellent keyboard player Don Airey and vocalist John Sloman helping in some songs, this version of Gary Moore band simply Rocks.
This is the only Moore album including his composition ‘Sunset’, composed & recorded by himself for Cozy Powell’s Tilt album in 1982. The song become a staple of Moore’s live setlist since 1980, and it’s dedicated here to the late Randy Rhoads who had died several months prior to this concert.
Keyboardist Don Airey had previously recorded and performed with Rhoads in Ozzy Osbourne’s backing band during the Diary of a Madman tour.

This remastered reissue features 3 bonus tracks recorded at the Marquee, London on 25 August 1982, originally only appeared in the bonus EP included with the first 25,000 vinyl copies of Moore’s previous studio album Corridors Of Power.
The vocalist here was Charlie Huhn, performing the title track ‘Rockin’ Every Night’ and the classic ‘Back on the Streets’, while Moore sings ‘Parisienne Walkways’ himself.

GARY MOORE - Rockin' Every Night [Japan SHM-CD remastered +3] (2016) back

“Rockin’ Every Night” not only rocks every night, but every time you press the play button. It’s a killer set performed by a killer line-up, obviously very inspired that night in Tokyo.
This excellent SHM-CD reissue replaced my worn vinyl (never bought the regular CD) and sounds really, really good.
Highly Recommended
