HOLOFLASH (Michael Palace) – Fusionwave (2022)

Fusionwave” is the debut album from Stockholm, Sweden based producer, musician and multi-instrumentalist HOLOFLASH. This is in fact the pseudonym of melodic rocker Michael Palace who has a new solo album as well released by Frontiers Music few days ago.
But HOLOFLASH is Michael Palace’s project to get into a genre he loves: ’80s inspired retro melodic rock&pop plenty of synths, sweet guitars, smooth vocals and dreamy keyboard landscapes. Authentically retro, filled with memorable hooks and inspired songwriting, “Fusionwave” is a record guaranteed to delight and surprise fans of everything 80s.
As one could expect, the album packs a heavy dose of streamlined tracks, with unapologetic pop hooks that hit right on target with the efficiency one can only expect from this talented Swedish songwriter. There’s really cool guitar solos, real drums, guest female lead vocals alongside Palace’s own, and an overall radio-friendly production.
For fans of melodramatic, movie soundtrack-ready Eighties stuff, “Fusionwave” is the album you need to keep your cravings in check for the next few weeks…

PALACE – One 4 The Road (2022)

PALACE, the brainchild of Swedish based vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Michael Palace, returns with a fourth album, “One 4 The Road” to be released on Frontiers Music next weekend. Once again, Michael handles all the instrumentation, songwriting and production for the effort, which showcases his love for the imagery and sounds of the glorious ‘80s.
“One 4 The Road” is an unabashedly massive AOR / Melodic Rock album, as has come to be expected from this gifted Swede’s output under the Palace moniker. Palace’s sound can best be described as a carefully curated blend of all the greatest arena rock, AOR, and hard rock from the 80’s delivered in a tight-knit package.
Unforgettable choruses, virtuosic guitars, clever lyricism, and a true passion for the retro aesthetic… Palace tickles the nostalgia nerve, while maintaining a firm foothold in the now…

PLATFORMS (Michael Palace) – The Future That Never Happened [Ltd CD Edition] (2021)

PLATFORMS is the baby of American vocalist Jordan Cox and Swede Michael Palace (PALACE, FIND ME) who met on the internet last year discovering each other’s love and dedication to melodic synthwave pop/rock with a great portion of Eighties sound.
The result is “The Future That Never Happened“, a collection of pretty awesome melodic rock with soaring clean vocals, keyboard splashes and the ’80s feeling all over.
Initially only available digitally in 2020, here’s finally a limited run of 500 CDs released by MelodicRock Records.
These are not just ’80s synth landscapes, these are solid songs, with guitar solos and all, and Cox is a really good singer with a warm voice…

PLATFORMS (Michael Palace) – Apocalypse Party +2 [new 2021 album]

PLATFORMS is a good example of one of the positive aspects of the modern Internet culture we find ourselves in. During a dark period in his life, from his apartment in Chicago, singer Jordan Cox filled his hard drive with countless songs that sat unrealized and unreleased. One day, he found Swedish producer / guitarist Michael Palace (PALACE, FIND ME) on Instagram and sent him a direct message.
After bonding over their appreciation for 80s rock and synth music the two quickly began resurrecting Jordan’s demos and writing new songs from scratch. In 2020 through Dropbox exchanges and Facebook messenger they constructed ‘The Future That Never Happened’ a full-length album within months, now to be released on physical format for the first time.
And now the duo are also releasing their new album titled “Apocalypse Party“, another trip back to the ’80s, including an awesome synth/melodic rock version of TINA TURNER’s ‘The Best’…

PALACE – Rock And Roll Radio (2020)

Never let it be said 2020 breathed its last cursed breath without giving us something good along the way. A memorable and brilliant cruising album has arrived in the form of Michael PALACE’s “Rock and Roll Radio” album, available December 4 on Frontiers Music.
This Swede is one of those multi-instrumentalists like Prince or Arjen Lucassen who just takes DIY album-making to an extreme. In the album notes, Palace is credited as playing “everything.” Unless there are cameos we are unaware of at publication, that’s pretty impressive, considering there is everything happening from singing to keys to lead guitars to a freaking saxophone.
So let’s back up just a little bit. In 2016, Palace released his “Master of the Universe” album, followed two years later by his “Binary Music” album. While these albums were inventive and good by most reasonable standards, it is apparent he wanted to push things in a particular direction in 2020, and ”Rock-and-Roll Radio” certainly does that.
A fantastic, ridiculously catchy collection of songs.

After two critical and fan acclaimed albums, FIRST SIGNAL are returning with a new studio album, “Line Of Fire” via Frontiers Music next May 17. This is the Japanese edition including a bonus track, premiered in exclusive for you by 0dayrox.
In 2010, a marriage in made in melodic rock heaven was consummated between Canadian rock vocalist Harry Hess (Harem Scarem) and German producer Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69, Khymera) under the First Signal name.
The seeds of this union were planted that same year when Frontiers Records presented Hess some melodic rock songs which had the same vibe and magic as Harem Scarem, whom at the time were on a hiatus.
You can’t go wrong with this superb vocalist, the song selection is stupendous, and production bright, vibrant.
