SARAYA – When The Blackbird Sings… [Japan Edition] Out Of Print

After the recent SARAYA posts we need to recommend the band’s second and last album, in its Japanese edition which sounds way better than any other version.
While not successful in sales as their debut, “When The Blackbird Sings…” is even better in many aspects, elaborated and mature female fronted Melodic Hard Rock. The record consolidated their sound which blended elements of the best female-fronted rock with out-and-out rock swagger.

SARAYA – Outtakes [Japan Hard Sun Collectors CD] *EXCLUSIVE*

In similar fashion of Japanese indie / club collectors label AOR Moon, there’s some series labeled as ‘Hard Sun Collectors‘, and they have put out this wonderful collection of Sandy SARAYA songs titled ”Outtakes”.
We have no less than 19 demo tracks recorded between 1982-1990, and most of these are unreleased songs, never included into any of both Saraya (the band) albums.
Originally appeared in 2000, this is a recent re-press of the CD with a much better sound quality, obviously taken from better source tapes.
A must for female-fronted AOR / Melodic Rock collectors

SARAYA – Saraya [Bad Reputation Records remaster +4]

French reissue label Bad Reputation has been doing a great job releasing ‘Collector Series / Remastered with Bonus‘, with the main attraction being the addition of a bonus tracks or bonus disc, making these reissues the ‘definitive expanded versions’. In a Rock Candy Records fashion, these are official remasters in arrangement with the original recording companies.
SARAYA‘s self-titled album – one of the finest female fronted Melodic Hard Rock / AOR albums from the ’80s – was reissued by the label with 4 bonus tracks.
And it’s a must for fans of the genre…
