LIONHEART – The Reality Of Miracles [Digipak CD Version] (2020) *EXCLUSIVE*

The just released new LIONHEART album ”The Reality Of Miracles” is without a doubt one of the best melodic rock records of the year. However, the digital download version resulted a bit weak in dynamic range, quiet. Seems the band wanted to avoid the brickwalled mastering – which sounds louder but at the risk of distorted as well.
This Digipak CD version is properly balanced in sound output and dynamics.

Best ‘Comeback album’ 2017, #1 : LIONHEART – Second Nature [Japanese Edition+ 1] (2017)

LIONHEART – The Reality Of Miracles (2020)

Some chiming, synths and a brooding build up introduce us via ‘Salvation’ to the new album by Dennis Stratton’s LIONHEART titled ”The Reality Of Miracles” – what follows is a very melodic build to ‘Thine is the Kingdom’ a sultry piece of classy AOR that takes you right back.
Strangeways, The Storm, Signal, Alias, FM, Journey it’s up right there in that territory. ‘The Reality Of Miracles’ is classy melodic hard rock of the highest order.
This is one of my albums of the year already. Oh yeah.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

ALCATRAZZ – Born Innocent (2020)

The now legendary rock combo ALCATRAZZ will once again throw down a studio gauntlet on July 31 with “Born Innocent“, its first studio venture since 1986’s “Dangerous Games”. Alongside the unique vocal prowess and range of star frontman and founding member Graham Bonnet, “Born Innocent” features fellow founding members Jimmy Waldo and Gary Shea.
And from the classic album art, featuring the mighty rock itself, “Born Innocent” is a journey into the sort of heavy, melodic and supremely articulated hard rock that is a cornerstone of the likes of RAINBOW and the MICHAEL SCHENKER GROUP, territory ALCATRAZZ successfully strode in the ’80s before going on hiatus.

STORMZONE – Ignite The Machine (2020)

Traditional metal / classic hard band STORMZONE has seen a number of successes over its seventeen years in existence. From playing support for some of the biggest acts in rock such as White Lion, Tesla and Saxon to playing major festivals across Europe like Firefest, Sweden Rock and the legendary Wacken Open Air festival, STORMZONE have proved over the years that not only can they hang with the big guns in rock, when it comes to traditional metal & melodic hard rock in Ireland, North and South, they are the big guns.
The guys are back again for the next chapter in the STORMZONE legacy with ”Ignite The Machine”, and let me put it simple; if you’re a traditional metal or melodic hard rock fan then you need to add this to your collection. It would be incomplete if you didn’t.

STEVE HOWE – Love Is (2020)

It is abundantly clear that right now, music lovers around the world are craving the return of live concert experiences. This summer, legendary rock / metal frontman, actor and radio personality DEE SNIDER has just the thing to keep live music where it belongs – with the fans.
”For The Love Of Metal Live” features tracks from Snider’s solo catalog like “I Am The Hurricane” and “For The Love Of Metal”, Twisted Sister favorites such as “I Wanna Rock” and “We’re Not Gonna Take It”, and even a cover of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell”, the audio portion also features a brand new original track, “Prove Me Wrong” – a confident metal hit that cements the legacy of the bonafide metal icon himself.

THUNDERMOTHER – Heat Wave (2020)

What if Krokus or Bullet had a strong and mighty and cozy female vocals? And what if AC/DC and Kiss were an all female band? You may not be aware of it but I do have the answer to thy question; it would be a band as kickass as THUNDERMOTHER, a powerful and hot band made up only by girls.
Thundermother are here to sign and seal in blood that 2020 is a true bomb in terms of releasing new music; all 13 songs that make up “Heat Wave” have a similar structure, not that complicated, but stick in to the ear, just like any anthem of the 70s / 80s that is still memorized today.

KENZINER – The Last Horizon (2020 reissue) *EXCLUSIVE*

Now signed by Pure Steel Records for their new album, the label is also reissuing KENZINER‘s ”The Last Horizon”, perhaps their best album, with new artwork and better mastering. Kenziner is a band with a recognizable European sound fluctuating between melodic metal with a neo-classical touch and a strong progressive metal influences. Think Axel Rudi Pell, Yngwie, Timo Tolkki’s Avalon...
