D-A-D – Behind The Seen (Rare Unreleased & B-Sides) (2020)

While Danish hard rockers D-A-D were touring Europe in 2019-2020, Parlophone Denmark released this very limited “Behind The Seen” album featuring rare, unreleased and B-side songs.
Behind The Seen (Rare Unreleased & B-Sides)” packs eight previously unreleased tracks plus 10 rare B-sides and bonus tracks. The album was originally released in 2009 but fans asked for a reissue many times, as most the songs here really deserved a place into the main albums and not just obscure single B-sides, and the unreleased are in the fine quality of D-A-D standards.

JESPER BINZER – Dying Is Easy [Deluxe Edition +3]

Vocalist of Danish cult hard rock group D-A-D, JESPER BINZER has just released his second, new album – featured on this blog – and some of you asked for his debut. For the first time in a 33-year career there was some time off in 2017 for Binzer to do some work on his own, and presented his first solo effort ‘Dying Is Easy’, a hot piece of rock n’ roll wonderfully produced (and played) by the great Søren Andersen (Glenn Hughes, Mike Tramp).
But few months after its original release, Binzer put out this “Dying Is Easy [Deluxe Edition +3]” including bonus tracks, songs recorded during the same sessions.
Being the singer for a band so many years, you can’t escape from the D-A-D sound / songwriting process, and “Dying Is Easy” has much of it. However, and thanks to Andersen, the overall approach is much more Melodic Rock oriented…

JESPER BINZER (D-A-D) – Save Your Soul (2020)

JESPER BINZER has ants in his pants. Whenever D-A-D put things on halt for a while, Jesper immediately starts work on a new project, his head brimming over with ideas and opinions. The new album, entitled “Save Your Soul“, contains 10 song that were recorded in the Medley studio together with producer and awesome guitarist Søren Andersen. The two worked closely together on Binzer’s 2017 solo debut Dying Is Easy.
Like the debut, ”Save Your Soul” was a creative and fulfilling joy to make. The catalyst was the pandemic, which left both musicians with a lot of time of their hands to write the songs that made it to the album.
Classic Rock as we know it… and as it ought to be.
