After the success of “Phase Three”, DEVICIOUS are back with their much anticipated fourth studio album “Black Heart“, out on Pride&Joy Music next April 15. After releasing the first three CDs within three years, the international, German-based group took advantage of the forced break caused by the pandemic and invested 137 days in the songwriting and production phase.
The result: their most melodic, punchy, angry, yet fresh and unique album to date. DeVicious returned to the studio with the golden rule: not to copy themselves and to be stylistically open, as long as the playing is fun and the melody is fat enough.
DeVicious see themselves as a group with stadium-ready melodies, and “Black Heart” contains influences of hard rock, melodic metal, and even some electronic sounds. DeVicious will release their own comic book series “Dollhouse DV” in 2022. The main characters of these comics are the models on the album cover and singles. DeVicious will definitely take off in 2022…

Delayed due the well known event out there, the soon to be released “Phase Three” is the third album from German-based international Melodic Rock band DEVICIOUS. This is the first record to feature new lead vocalist Antonio Calanna, an effort more biting and rocking than their previous works, still catchy and plenty of infectious AOR choruses.
Kicking off with the hard-driving “Firefly”, it still features the signature lush vocal harmonies and big hook chorus, but Calanna’s vocals are more aggressive than his predecessor.
Up next is “Mysterious”, which starts off with a syncopated intro, before settling into a twisted, effective melodic hard rocker.
“Pouring Rain” has a bit groovier tempo, then “Walk Through Fire” shifts gears again, some kind of epic melodic hard with AOR melody, giving the song a dramatic feel. A highlight…

“Reflections” is the second release from German-Serbian Melodic Hard Rockers DeVICIOUS, the be released March 1. This new CD is a slightly harder, rocking than the debut but still – or probably more than ever – melodies and groove rule.
Produced by bassist / songwriter Alex Frey, “Reflections” is a really good sounding record, with a strong punch in a classic Eighties style which is underlined by nice keyboards and solid choruses.
Opener “Long Way From Home“ is a perfect start with solid verses and fine guitar work, followed by the catchy “Never Let You Go” featuring Norwegian Åge Sten Nilsen (Ammunition, Wig Wam) on guest vocals…
