PAT TRAVERS – The Art Of Time Travel (2022)

Bluesy Rock icon guitar-slingin’ wizard PAT TRAVERS is set to return to center stage with a masterful new studio album to be released worldwide by CleoRecs. “The Art Of Time Travel” is a solid testament to the magic of Travers’s unique brand of classic blues rock, which has that supernatural ability to transport listeners into the not-too-distant past when rock was king and guitars dominated the airwaves — all while still sounding as fresh and relevant as ever.
Indeed, “The Art Of Time Travel” harkens back to the muscular playing of Travers’s late ’70s heyday, when the artist was topping the classic / hard rock charts with smokin’ hot albums, yet still tackles current topics such as the COVID quarantine (“Breaking Up In Lockdown”).
One of the standout songs is Travers’s emotional and cathartic tribute to his friend and mentor, the late Ronnie Montrose. Montrose was one of the most gifted and influential guitarists of his time, whose profound impact on Travers can be heard on the track “Ronnie” and throughout “The Art Of Time Travel”…

PAT TRAVERS & CARMINE APPICE – Superstition (2021) HQ

Classic rock / hard rock guitarist Pat Travers and drummer Carmine Appice worked together on a few albums, but for sure “Superstition” is the best of all. Recorded and originally released in 2000’s, after being out of print for some time now it has been reissued 2021.
PAT TRAVERS & CARMINE APPICE are joined by uber talented cats Chuck Wright (ex- Quiet Riot, House of Lords, Guffria) and Tony Franklin (The Firm, Blue Murder) performing on all tracks, you only can expect quality. And there’s more; TOTO’s Steve Lukather & Bobby Kimball on lead vocals participate on an Aerosmith cover, and Rick Derringer drops a hot solo on other song.
Travers revisits some of his classics (Crash & Burn, Boom Boom, Snortin Whiskey) as does Carmine with “Livin’ Alone (an old Beck, Bogart, Appice tune), some covers (Superstitious, Cream’s Politician, Last Child) and some new tunes written for this album.
Terrific stuff
