We already presented here previous works from New Zealand based SHAYNE MALONE, and after his first ever best-of compilation ‘Best Cuts Volume I’ released in May, now the musician is releasing “Best Cuts Volume II“. Including what he considers some of the best tunes from his career, all songs have been remastered / revised with some new instrumentation / mixes.
Malone describes his music as big stadium rock, anthem songs with a huge 80s flavor; .’Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Van Halen… that’s my faves’ – says Malone – ‘their Eighties era, of course’.
Varied influences – but with Shayne’s own touch – are all over these songs, from the melodic rock of BLUE TEARS or CASANOVA including AOR sprinkling keys, to power ballads with an ’80s BON JOVI / LEPPARD-ized feeling…

Varied influences – but with Shayne’s own touch – are all over these songs, from BLUE TEARS or CASANOVA on ‘Digital Soldiers’ or mid-Eighties BON JOVI on the catchy ‘Even Roses Bleed’, to WINGER on tunes like ‘Warm Up My Heart’.
