DORIAN GRAY – Dangerous! [DDR Digitally Remastered] HQ *0dayrox Exclusive*

We featured in exclusive the two Wild Boyz albums remastered by Demon Doll Records, and to complete the circle here’s their release of DORIAN GRAY‘s “Dangerous!“. Dorian Gray which was the initial Hollywood concept that would eventually become the Wild Boyz, founded by bass player Joey Wylde and drummer / songwriter K. Lee Lauren.
They operated as DORIAN GRAY during 1986-1988, and according to the era the band’s style was polished melodic hard rock with a strong, polished American AOR sound. Dorian Gray’s sound here is reminiscent of Icon’s ‘Night Of The Crime’ era, including that lovely keyboard arrangements, full band involvement on the layered choruses, and clean atmospheric electric guitar parts.
All the tracks here were recorded at various studios throughout the L.A. area, very well produced.

WILD BOYZ – Risen! [Demon Doll remastered / Previously Unreleased] (2021) *first seen at 0dayrox*

WILD BOYZ was one the largest-drawing unsigned act in Sunset Strip history, selling more than 1,000 tickets for each and every show they played. No small feat considering the clubs on the Strip held less than 500 at full capacity.
DDR has made available the remastered version of the underground cult classic ‘Unleashed!’ featuring the bands outstanding signature track “I Don’t Wanna Cry No More” as well nine additional songs that many would come to know and love the boyz for.
Now we have come to the definitive WILD BOYZ last chapter with the release of “Risen!“. We have here the tracks that were being readied for their follow up album to ‘Unleashed!’ as well as demo songs that were recorded during the ‘Unleashed!’ sessions and didn’t make the cut.

WILD BOYZ – Unleashed! [Demon Doll Digitally Remastered] HQ

Originally released in 1991 via a small label, “Unleashed!“, the debut album by Americans WILD BOYZ for years was ‘a rare piece’ among collectors. Until now, because it has been freshly remastered, in a limited edition with a new cover artwork.
Yes, WILD BOYZ emerged from the Sunset Strip glam scene in the second half of the ’80s, but don’t be fooled by the band’s name including a ‘Z’: this is not sleazy. Not sleazy but wonderful Melodic Hard Rock / hair metal with a feel-good vibe, catchy choruses and hooks galore.
Musically, on “Unleashed!” WILD BOYZ sound like mix of 1987 Tesla, Poison, a bit of Warrant, and some Slaughter / Mariah. The band also mix the sound from 1987 to 1991, so there’s varied tracks a freedom without a major label pressure behind.
You have a radio / MTV ready pop metal tune in “I Don’t Wanna Cry No More”, down and dirty LA hard rock…
