”Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part 2” is the third studio album by German metal act HELLOWEEN, released in 1988. In fact, ‘Part 2’ was recorded at the same time as Part 1 as the band originally planned to release ‘Keeper…’ as a double album, but their record label refused insisting that the albums be released separately.
So ”Keeper of the Seven Keys, Part 2” was released next year, 1988. The album sold very well, and success bloomed all over Europe, Asia, and even the United States. The LP went gold in Germany and reached No. 108 in the US. It is their last studio record to feature guitarist Kai Hansen until 2021’s self-titled album.
Now as part of the 40th anniversary of the band, this classic has now been remastered 2024 by Sascha Bühren at TrueBusyness Music Productions, Berlin, and the original artwork restored. ”Keeper of the Seven Keys, Pt. 2 (2024 Remaster +4)” includes 4 bonus tracks.
